Vivo S1 Pro is all set to launch in India: All you need to know!

Vivo India recently came up with an official announcement through its twitter handle. Vivo India has updated the header image of its official Twitter account and set up a promotional page on its official site to reveal the launch date too.

Vivo S1 Pro is all set to launch in India on January 4, 2020. This confirmation came up after the official twitter handle of Vivo India shared a post, which included the date of launch.

Moreover, Amazon India published a separate teaser for the smartphone on its website, pointing towards the fact that it will be one of the e-retailers to carry the phone.

Vivo is launching the global version of Vivo S1 Pro in India. For the first time, the global variant of the smartphone came up in the market of the Philippines last month. Now it would be available for sale in India as well.

Moreover, the teaser suggests that the Vivo S1 Pro houses a diamond-shaped quad-camera setup at the back having a 48-megapixel main sensor along with a 32-megapixel AI Selfie camera at the front as well.

Processor, Display, and Design

Vivo S1 Pro (Global Variant)

The global version of Vivo S1 Pro houses a Snapdragon 665 SoC at the helm. The Vivo S1 Pro operates on Android Pie-based Funtouch OS 9.2. In addition, it is having a 6.38″ FHD+ Super AMOLED notched display with quad cameras on the back in a diamond formation.

Moreover, it is also having a fingerprint scanner underneath the display for biometric authentication. If the India variant is alike to the Philippines variant, then there is the presence of waterdrop-notch on the front as well.


As far as the camera setup is concerned, it comprises of a 48-megapixel main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide, a 2-megapixel macro, and a 2MP depth sensor module. Besides, the smartphone houses a 32MP camera on the front.

Storage Capacity and Available variants

As far as the storage is concerned, it has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage onboard. However, it does come with a microSD card slot, allowing storage expansion by up to 256GB.

The S1 Pro is available in the Philippines in Fancy Sky and Knight Black colors, and Vivo India’s official Twitter handle and website reveal the smartphone will arrive in India in Fancy Sky and Knight Black colors too.

Expected Price

As far as the price is concerned, there is no official confirmation, but as per the famous leakster Mukul Sharma @stufflistings, its price should be somewhere around 19K.
