The next foldable Samsung called Galaxy Fold 2, already has some general details leaked regarding its hardware, pricing and release date. Significantly, we are expecting news of a new variety of foldable Samsung phones around February 2020.

Latest Galaxy Fold 2 news

  • According to a news report, Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be equipped with a 108-MP camera and 5x zoom
  • Moreover, the latest unofficial render of the Galaxy Fold 2, gives us an idea about the final appearance of the smartphone
  • Interestingly, an estimate made by a Korean Samsung analyst puts the price of the Galaxy Fold 2 at around $840, which way more affordable than any other foldable smartphone

Galaxy Fold 2 Design

The Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be having the brand new clamshell design, which appeared for the first time in Samsung One UI developer event. This system bends the screen tightly but within the phone’s frame, thus avoiding the semi-open design of Galaxy Fold.

As per the reports, the device will be based on W20 5G. This is almost a ditto copy of Galaxy Fold, but it has better hardware, as it is having a new exterior frame, which means that now it can close tighter.

Moreover, there has been some association with Samsung trade marketing Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) and utilizing it as a part of the Fold 2 project. UTG will make the device scratch resistant.

At this early stage, there is no concrete specification. However, with those dual screens, it expects a premium level of power- perhaps the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 platform.

Otherwise, the only obvious expectation is for 5G connectivity, as W20 5G name suggests.
